Food sensitivities are a tricky thing and can be very difficult to detect without appropriate testing.
Sensitivities are different from food allergies. With allergies there is a direct correlation between the consumption of an allergen (what’s causing the allergic reaction) and symptoms. If you are allergic to strawberries, you know very quickly if you accidentally ingested strawberries. Food sensitivities are different. They do not cause a rash, wheeze or swollen face the minute you consume them. Instead they cause inflammation in the body which manifests itself as chronic conditions such as fatigue, abdominal pain, diarrhea, constipation, migraines, rashes, and asthma symptoms. With the help of specialized labs, we are able to detect these sensitivities. Many have been able to obtain relief of symptoms just by cutting out foods they could have never guessed were contributing to their symptoms.
