What are neuromodulators (Botox/Xeomin)?

Neuromodulators are a nonsurgical treatment to smooth out fine lines and wrinkles. They work extremely well on dynamic lines, meaning facial lines you see when facial muscles are used.

Where are neuromodulators injected?

They are injected directly into the muscles that are responsible for the formation of facial lines such as frown lines or crows feet.

When do you start seeing improvement?

Generally after 3 days, however, it takes 2 wks to get full effect.

How long does it last?

Its different for each person, however, in many cases it will last between 3-6 months.

How do neuromodulator work?

They block nerve signals to the injected muscle, resulting in weakness of those muscles which eliminates or improves facial lines.

Are neuromodulator safe?

For cosmetic purposes, they are injected in very low amounts which are safe.

What is the difference between Botox and Xeomin?

Both types of neuromodulators work equally well when injected in same dosages. Xeomin has fewer additives which make it less likely to develop antibodies against it. When antibodies develop toward anything, the body is said to be “immune” towards it, making it less effective.
